TOPIC: Cheap sounding songs
Rachel Platten's entire album sounds like it was made in a quick minute on Garageband. I like some of the songs (SBY, HHH, AIC etc) but it just sounds really cheaply produced to me.
What does 'cheap music' make you think of?

Neon Lights. You know when you look up an instrumental for a song on YouTube but you find some fake remade karaoke version? that's what the production sounds like.

Neon Lights is a Ryan Tedder production, probably cost the label 6 figures for something of less sound quality than what 13 year olds are releasing on soundcloud today.
The music industry is a funny thing.

Baby Don't Lie, along with many other dated Ryan Tedder productions as of late.

Britney Jean. The productions were whatever, but the mixing was tragic.

I like Rachel Platten but her album really does sound like it cost a Walmart gift card to produce.

Britney Jean, ARTPOP, Bangerz, and PRISM (The 2013 albums) also sound extremely cheap
This is what happens when loops, beats, and MIDI keyboards take over the industry because it's cheap and the industry is a flop...... meanwhile real instrumentation just goes out the door completely :/

The radio world is buzzing with feverish anticipation over an as-yet-untitled and unidentified superstar track that's set for release tomorrow.

We're gonna venture a guess that this is the new single from Rihanna featuring Drake, considering that savvy fans spotted a major video shoot happening overnight at L.A.'s Eagle Rock Plaza just a few weeks ago.

Word is iHeart and CBS are all in from the top down and planning to go big tomorrow. We also understand iHeart has saved a slot for hourly play across its Top 40 and Rhythm properties.

Sources tell us the secrecy is so extreme around this that PDs were told by the label they would not be told the title OR artist until 15 minutes before delivery of the song—which drops at 8am EST tomorrow.

其實HDD 啲料多數都幾堅 (包括 Beyonce 突然成隻 Visual Album 上架)

其實最一開始HDD 個消息係準既 (11月尾/12月都出唔到碟; Roc Nation 想同 Samsung 合作免費送R8, 但同 Billboard 傾唔掂計Album sales 條數所以未出得碟住; 為避 Adele postpone album release)
之後更新幾次R8消息唔準我懷疑係Rihanna team 專登報復放流料俾佢地

不過搞咁耐搞咁既碟都幾失敗, 可唔可以要返Loud/We Found Love咁呀

我覺得Work真係唱得勁難聽, 都唔係唱既, lur住過
但係好鍾意好好loop喎又, 唱到好似要死好似朝早要起身返工咁, 今日成日係公司都werk werk werk werk werk

R小姐佢啲碟除咗plug咗上去果啲之外,好多首都好悶
Diamonds同SM之類隻隻都有咁濟
呢個係我一直唔買佢啲碟既原因

聽到佢唱FourFiveSeconds 真係好驚喜
